CEO ROADSHOW HITS
THE ROAD
In October and November 2022 Exxaro CEO, Dr Nombasa Tsengwa, and her Executive team commenced their #GetOnTheBus CEO roadshow – a strategic adventure that took the team to the heart of Exxaro’s operations to share the strategy and have a bit of fun.
The roadshow, which saw the Exco team literally get on the bus and travel from site to site, focused on unpacking the Sustainable Growth and Impact strategy, and empowering Exxaro’s people to grow, while encouraging them to remain committed to excellence, respect and responsibility. But it also made room for some fun engagements, which even saw our Dr Nombasa dancing on stage with her colleagues.
This was a round trip with all stops included! Matla mine in Mpumalanga was the first stop, followed by Ferro Alloys in Pretoria West, then the Leeuwpan Mine in Delmas, followed by the conneXXion in Centurion and then Belfast Digital and Connected Mine, and ended with a two-day roadshow visit to Grootegeluk in the Waterberg Coalfield of Limpopo. The team also visited Cennergi in the Eastern Cape and the roadshow.
Dr Nombasa used the opportunity to unpack the business strategy and to discuss the important role that each employee plays in taking the business to greater heights. Our CEO also shared how all employees can actively participate in the growth and success of both Exxaro Resources and our country and reiterated the importance of creating impact for our people and society and being an all-inclusive, equitable and diverse organisation.
The Executive team applauded all employees for their continuous strides towards transformation and innovation and reminded employees that our success lies in the strength of our culture and values.
