At Exxaro, we prioritise the well-being of our female workforce, exemplified by the launch of an emergency kit initiative at our Grootegeluk Mine. As part of our Women’s Month celebrations in August, each female employee received kits with essential sanitary items, ensuring they feel supported and prepared during long shifts and in remote working environments.

To further support this initiative, vending machines were installed at the mine, making it easy for women to refill their kits as needed. This addition ensures that essential products are readily accessible, promoting comfort and confidence throughout the workday.

This initiative highlights our commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive work environment. By addressing the practical needs of our female employees, we enhance wellbeing, reduce absenteeism, and contribute to a stronger, healthier workforce.
